From the feeling you get from helping others, to the good it does for the community, there are hundreds of reasons to volunteer at an Arizona charity. No matter what your age, your career, or your experience, volunteering your time or making a donation to an Arizona charity is one of the most worthwhile things you could possibly do.
And though it’s common knowledge that giving to a charity gives back to the community, it’s a wonderful feeling to know exactly where your time or your donation is going; and just who it’s going to. That’s why here at the Sun Health Foundation, we’ve created a list of three places that are constantly benefitting from your kindness and generosity. Here are just three of the many reasons to volunteer at Arizona charities:
- Cardiology, neuroscience, and orthopedics: Though the three branches of medicine couldn’t be more different, each one has something in common – they’re all funded and aided by philanthropic efforts. Whether located in the Banner Del E. Webb Medical Center or the Banner Boswell Medical Center, it is because of our volunteers and donors that each facility continues to have access to state-of-the-art technology and provide the highest level of care around.
- Senior living: Because of our volunteers and donors, we’re also able to help fund expansions and improvements to Sun Health Senior Living centers, such as the beautiful La Loma Care Center. Thanks to each and every philanthropic effort, we’re excited to continue our plans which include upgrading the La Loma rehabilitation gymnasium as well as creating an occupational therapy suite.
- Research: In addition to providing funding for medical technology at a number of hospitals in the area, the efforts of our volunteers and donors also go to benefit medical research. Performed at the Banner Sun Health Research Institute, every dollar donated gets us one step closer to finding cures and making tremendous clinical breakthroughs.
From hospitals to senior living to exceptionally important medical research, no matter which philanthropic target your time or donation goes to, you can be sure that it’s doing more than benefitting a community; it’s making leaps and bounds toward saving and bettering lives.
