From upscale dining venues and piano bars to casino nights and bocce ball courts, life at a Sun Health Community location is the kind of experience you’d expect on a vacation—right at your doorstep.
Our three Life Plan Community locations—Grandview Terrace, La Loma Village and The Colonnade—feature resort-style amenities, community clubs and social activities, so residents can spend their day doing as much, or as little, as they wish.
While we promote a carefree lifestyle with all the comforts, camaraderie, and conveniences you could hope to find, we encourage you to discover the community that is right for you:
Find everything you need under one roof in high-rise luxury living at Grandview Terrace
Regarded as one of the most superb retirement destinations in the Phoenix metropolitan area, Grandview Terrace in Sun City West, Arizona has developed an extensive list of activities and amenities over the past 20 years. Whether it’s participating in social gatherings like wine and paint events, casino nights or murder mystery dinners, residents enjoy each other and their community each and every day.
Throughout the building’s six floors, you’ll find a variety of dining options, luxurious residences, and unique amenities—like a decked-out dance floor, private theater and indoor walking track.
“When you move into Grandview Terrace, you move into a community of fascinating people. We’re always making new friends,” says residents Mildred and Bill Price.
Exceptional food and an impressive dining atmosphere
Residents and their guests can choose from casual and fine dining restaurants or a quick and casual marketplace for a variety of dining experiences.
There are three casual dining areas: The Marketplace, The Greens and The 19th Hole. Each offer a unique view of the community’s open concept kitchen, filled with a pastry counter and a brick oven made for tasty wood-fire pizza, and more.
For a more elegant dining experience, the community provides three formal dining rooms: Sabino, Fireside and Sonora. Open for dinner and Sunday brunch, these newly-renovated dining areas deliver an experience similar to what you’d expect at a five-star resort.
Residents can enjoy their meals outside on either of Grandview Terrace’s outdoor patios: The Northview Patio and The Garden Patio.
Nearby Entertainment
Located within minutes of Grandview Terrace is some of the best shopping, dining and entertainment venues in the Northwest Valley.
Additionally, residents have easy access to Westgate Entertainment District in Glendale, Arizona, where exciting events are hosted, such as blockbuster concerts, NHL hockey, championship college football and Arizona Cardinals games at the University of Phoenix Stadium. And don’t miss the Peoria P83 entertainment district, as well as Spring Training baseball stadiums for additional food, fun and entertainment.
Living at Grandview Terrace gives you the unique opportunity to enjoy the recreation benefits of two communities. Because Grandview Terrace is located in Sun City West, you’ll receive full access to all of the community’s amenities, including golf courses and recreation complexes designed for exercise, sports and more
La Loma Village is an expansive community rooted in rich history
Located near Luke Air Force Base in the heart of Litchfield Park, Arizona, residents of La Loma Village enrich their lives within the convenience of the community. Whether that means watching a movie with friends, meeting for a game of cards, or enjoying a night of musical fun at the piano bar, every day is a unique experience.
Beyond the comforts of the luxurious residences and resort-style amenities, La Loma Village residents also enjoy beautifully landscaped walking paths set against a backdrop of desert mountain views.
The land that we now know as La Loma Village is rooted in a rich history that spans generations. Originally, it belonged to Paul Litchfield, the one-time CEO and chairman of the board for Goodyear Tire and Rubber. The land was used to promote the economic development of the West Valley and Litchfield Park area. Decades later, the land was donated to Sun Health by Paul Litchfield’s daughter, Edith Denny, and her husband, Wally Denny, with the vision that it would be used to further benefit the community. From this history comes the community as we know it today.
“Living at La Loma Village has greatly enriched my social life and well-being, along with the new friends I’ve made and the many activities that I now participate in. It’s like being on an endless vacation!” says resident Sal Giacomazzo.
Uniquely-reimagined dining experiences
A dynamic and diverse menu promises to delight with resort-quality food prepared fresh by exceptionally talented chefs. With such a wide selection of entrée and dessert options, there’s sure to be a dining option to delight every taste palate.
The Sonoran Dining Room serves as a main hub of La Loma Village’s dining offerings. Rotating menus consist of Chef specials, soups, salads and daily staples designed around a variety of world cuisines.
The Atrium Café is the perfect place for residents to gather and enjoy a full menu of delicious specialties in an airy and inviting atrium setting. Cookies, scones and packaged snacks are also available and make for a quick pick-me-up between meals.
The community’s private dining room offers the perfect setting for gatherings and special occasions, and is available for reservations.
