SURPRISE, ARIZ – March 16, 2017 — Throughout his long career as a clinical psychologist, Dr. Michael Cofield has seen countless examples of the power of resilience.
“The ability to recover from setbacks, adapt to change and to push back on adversity is a big determinant of success in all stages of life, including our later years,” Dr. Cofield says.
Dr. Cofield will share his insights on resilience and how to put it into practice at The Art of Resilience, a free half-day event, held from 9 a.m. to noon, Wednesday, April 5, at The Colonnade, 19116 Colonnade Way, Surprise.
“Though some aspects of resiliency are inherited, it is also a skill set involving behaviors, actions and thoughts that can be learned and developed,” he says.
Dr. Cofield will speak first and his presentation will be followed by breakout sessions focused on additional strategies for becoming more resilient. See schedule below.
