If you walk into The Colonnade resident Arlen Madole’s casita you feel like you are transported to another place with all of her beautiful artwork hung on her walls.
“I am primarily a watercolor artist, however, moving to Arizona provided me with a new interest in colors of the desert and then oil painting,” Arlen shares. “Travel has given me a wealth of experience and resources for all my art. Living and traveling in the Northwestern United States, Asia, and Europe is always reflected in the art I do.”
And now this brilliant artist is using her talents to brighten up the walls of other residents’ homes. Arlen has been graciously creating 8 X 10 paintings for her neighbors. She not only creates the beautiful art, but then mattes her work and adds a personalized note on the back that says:
“This is an original watercolor painting that I did for you! I hope that you enjoy having it, as much as I enjoyed painting it! Hopefully we will be able to visit with each other soon!” -Arlen Madole
As Paula Sikes, Life Enrichment Director at The Colonnade says about the prices pieces, “Arlen is an angel amongst us.”
