La Loma village kicked off the month of August with an employee fundraiser with Candy Grams to celebrate International Friends Day.
Residents and staff had the opportunity to purchase a candy gram (Or pet gram, for our furry friends) for each other, for $1 per gram. Special messages and candy were delivered to each recipient (including our canine companions) raising more than $300 during the fun celebration!
The fun didn’t end there as our sweet La Loma Life Enrichment team helped residents celebrate National S’more’s Day with s’mores kits passed out to all our residents 😊. I wonder if La Loma resident Betty Lynch shared her s’mores with her friends?
And last, but not least, residents got the chance to meet new members of the Life Enrichment team as they welcomed Patricia Unger, Life Enrichment Coordinator and Zarinah Diaz, Life Enrichment Art Specialist. The get to know you included the residents asking fun questions of our new team members including, “If you could choose free gas, housecleaning, massages, or coffee for a year, which would you pick?”
A great time was had by all and we so appreciate the Life Enrichment team at La Loma Village!
