There was lots of celebrating and fierce competitions held during the month of May at La Loma Village.
First residents kicked off May with a Cinco de Mayo celebration that included a mariachi band, hand-made margaritas by Tammy Bailey (Dining Room Manager) and a fiesta-style feast.
A long, hard battle was fought over the last several weeks, culminating in an end-of-season La Loma Bocce Tournament. The final game between The Casita Rollers (Ruthie and Lou Colross) and The Challengers (Bob Rings and Walt Weigold) was a nail biter. Each team fought their way, point by point, with the final score of 11-9.
In the end, the Challengers were victorious. Congratulations to Bob Rings (pictured left) and Walt Weigold (pictured right).
Hats off to our incredible teams who made this 2021 season and playoff so remarkable. And a big thank you to all who came out to play and to support.
