It’s safe to say that the entertainment planners in Las Vegas could learn a thing or two from the team at Grandview when it comes to providing evenings filled with fine dining, drinks and a little bit of show biz.
The Dining and Life Enrichment teams came up with a grand plan to provide the sweet sounds of harpist Jocelyn Obermeyer and guitarist Masato Tachi in the dining room for an entire week during the dinner hour.
Residents made reservations ahead of time and Dining Services Manager, Travis Wallace, took extra precautions for our residents safety as everyone entering the dining area had masks on and the tables were all socially distanced. And no same table was used during the evening. As new residents came in, a new table was assigned.
And as an added treat, Life Enrichment Coordinator, Nicole Sloggett, turned her talents into adding twists of lemon and lime as she served as bartender for the night making special drinks upon request.
We want to thank Travis and Dining Services as well as Nicole and Life Enrichment for hosting this great event. We also appreciate all the extra steps taken to make sure all were safe while having fun.
And that is not all as GVT has come up with ways for resident to enjoy plays and music while sipping on wine and having desert in the GVT’s Grand Room.
Recent virtual guests include the Valley’s own musician team of brothers Sam and Josh Stefanski, the versatile local actor, vocalist and impressionist T.A. Burrows and a trip to Broadway with a night of seeing the popular, Hamilton.
Thank you to all of Grandview Terrace for all you do to enrich our residents lives.
