On July 15, Sun Health Vice President of Operations Bhakti Gosalia added a new title to her resume – president of the board of directors for Arizona LeadingAge, a one-year term that is renewable for a second year. Bhakti, who has been with Sun Health in various roles for more than 30 years, has also been active with LeadingAge Arizona for nearly as many.
“She’s been in several leadership roles over the last 30 years, most recently as policy chair,” says Pam Koester, CEO of Arizona LeadingAge. “I am thrilled to have Bhakti as our board president for the next two years and as our main representative for Sun Health.”
Bhakti was officially elected at the organization’s first-ever virtual annual conference. At that event, she commented on the unique situation everyone in the senior living industry is facing.
“It is such an honor to be selected as the president and lead this great organization,” Bhakti said. “While we are not able to meet in person, we are all joined together in our common passion to keep our residents and staff safe and healthy. In these unpredicted and challenging times, we have even more need to be active members with Arizona LeadingAge and share our knowledge, expertise and experiences to fight this COVID-19 pandemic. How humbled I am, and thank you for putting your trust in me.”
