You may know that giving back by volunteering at or donating to an Arizona nonprofit can serve to benefit, improve, and strengthen a community.
But did you know that giving back to a community can also create a community?
Here at the Sun Health Foundation, we don’t just know it; we see it every day.
No matter how much time you have to give, no matter how often you’re able to volunteer, when you donate your time to serving Arizona nonprofits, you’re not only giving a gift back to the community, but you’re doing it alongside hundreds of others who work hard to accomplish the very same goal. And when so many dedicated people are working to achieve such a worthwhile goal, it’s no wonder that they soon find they have quite a bit in common.
Because so many of our volunteers come in once and then again, we’re never surprised to see our number of Sun Health VIPs – or Volunteers in Philanthropy – continue to grow. And it’s thanks to our devoted VIPs that we’ve been able to focus so much time and effort on the things that really matter – such as providing patient beds, funding innovative treatments, and purchasing much-needed medical equipment.
Whether our VIPs are working as office support, in one of our many nonprofit hospital gift or resale shops, or on a special fundraising event committee to plan an exciting new event, the time they spend together not only ends up benefitting medical research and health care, but also creating a special kind of community service bond.
And the more regularly our VIPs volunteer, the stronger that bond seems to grow. By donating to or volunteering at an Arizona nonprofit, you’ll soon realize that the time you give provides much-needed support for medical facilities, while also providing you with new friends and worthwhile experiences you won’t soon forget.
