In true La Loma style, residents and staff celebrated the annual Movement Matters campaign unlike anywhere else with Richard Simmon, St. Patrick’s Day celebrations included tracking down trouble making Leprechauns(we have photos to prove it!) and a Vegas style anniversary celebration for Assisted Living’s successful 7th anniversary.
Sweatin’ to the Oldies
The LLV Life Enrichment thanks all who came out to support our Sweatin’ to the Oldies Movement Matters event. A big shout out to Alrick Headley, Steve Romero and Terel Nichols for being such great sports and competing in our Richard Simmons Wannabe Contest! These 3 men strutted their stuff, vying for the title of “LLV’s Best Richard Simmons”! Congratulations to Terel, for pulling out a victory!
Leprechaun Hunt on St. Patrick’s Day
Little Leprechauns were a plenty as La Loma celebrated the Irish holiday.
Festivities began with an Irish Crooner complete with green beverages. Then residents were armed with their sling shots and nerf guns as they tried to keep some mischievous elfin cobblers from misbehaving.
Thank you to our good-hearted staff Leprechauns for stirring up lots of fun! This included The Fairy Shoemaker (Katherine McDonnell), Princess CloverChaun (Windy Hadley), The Blonde Leprechaun (Darcy Andelin), The Good Wish Leprechaun (Cherri Lee), Lucky Charmer the Leprechaun (Rachel Goodwin), Celine Dion the Musical Leprechaun (Ione Murray).
Happy Anniversary LLV Assisted Living
Assisted Living celebrated its 7th anniversary in style. Residents requested a Vegas style venue with Bingo, raffles and lots of prizes. The celebration ended with root beer floats, and of course, all in attendance were treated to a Vegas style concert with the one and only (well, may not only) Elvis.
