What does that mean? It means we’ve made a strong commitment to supporting residents living with dementia by making sure our team is well-trained and ready to provide thoughtful, compassionate care.
In fact, over 75% of our direct care staff and care managers have completed specialized Dementia Capable Care training—so you can feel confident knowing your loved ones are in capable, caring hands.
The Colonnade is now accepting reservations for its memory support suites which provide a safe and secure environment where specially trained staff address the unique challenges presented by caring for those living with Alzheimer’s disease or other forms of dementia. Our expertly qualified and licensed care team includes Memory Support experts, who are available 24/7 to offer comfort and compassionate care when it matters most.
The intimate memory support suites includes services and care that are backed by the latest developments in treating memory loss. Each private suite features all the comforts of home, along with personalized front door décor to help assist with wayfinding. Shared community spaces feature innovative, open-concept layouts with an abundance of natural light, bright and pleasing neutral colors and thoughtful interactive life skill stations to enhance cognition.
A variety of life enrichment programs and activities are also offered to keep residents active and support healthy cognitive function. We recognize that each resident is an individual, and prioritize unique needs and preferences over sticking to a set schedule.
